Paper Fortune Tellers - An Experiential Learning Facilitation
I spent a week in Colorado with eleven of my classmates for an experiential learning seminar as part of my AET program, and it was my favorite class, hands down. As part of the seminar, we were asked to facilitate a session for one another, and I chose something a bit lighthearted: making simple origami paper fortune tellers.

The overt goals for this session were puzzle and problem solving and precision. My covert goal was to have everyone take a step back, to relax and do something fun.

I've included this as part of my portfolio as another example of lesson planning, particularly with an eye toward displaying the difference between overt goals of learning and covert goals of learning. There are also questions included as part of the lesson to help with learning transfer and processing, both of which are key aspects of experiential learning.
